EASTERN OKLAHOMA FISHING
last updated June 18, 2009
Oklahoma Fishing Charter Service fishes Robert S Kerr Lake and the Arkansas River offering the locally fantastic catfishing for trophy blues. The trophy bluecat make their presence known from November through March with the best months being January and February. The smaller eating-sized blues and channels are usually available year around, although spawning time from late May thru Early September is very difficult, and hard on the attending males and spawning females.
We will be posting lots of stories, pictures and new tips and techniques as we keep you up-to-date on the wonderful world of fishing in Oklahoma.
Now accepting Nighttime charters only until July 31

I'm Albert McBee, your catfish guide. My Cherokee name is t'Kish Kape, meaning "Buck Killer" in the native tongue.
I have been a lifelong Catfisherman, having been tethered to my father by a rope around my waist just above my diaper while my father sat on the bank of the Verdigris River in north eastern Oklahoma angling for channel and flathead catfish. Since the blue catfish were recently initially stocked in Oklahoma, their numbers have increased to eclipse the channel catfish.
I graduated to long pants learning the finer points of catfishing from my Master Angler Father, Grandfather, and several Granduncles. Later in life, I learned the delicate arts of noodling (catching catfish by hand) and making my own evil-smelling catfish baits.
Now, I strive for simplicity in baits, using locally netted shad and skipjack.
Let me teach you how to find and catch catfish when you want to instead of when they decide to bite.
All Bait & Tackle provided. Bring your favorite soft drinks and snacks. We will filet and pack fish for your trip home but you must provide the ice chest and ice. Tips are appreciated.
Stay awhile and enjoy yourself!
